City of Vader

The Vader Library Committee is planning a silent auction from October 10 through November 17.  We are looking for quality donations of items or specialties, i.e., handmade crafts, jams/jellies, donated hours of yard work or housecleaning, specialty baskets, “Desert of the Month makers, wood for burning or whatever specialty you may have.

Some items already donated are:

• Assorted perennial plants

• Handmade wool rug

• Smoked salmon snack basket

• 2 pine needle baskets

• Scrimshawed horn

• “Desert of the Month” for 3 months

We would like to have some other great bakers sign up for desserts or cookies of the month.  We also have other donations promised that aren’t specified yet.  Anyone interested can sign up at the Library on Tuesday and Thursday from noon till 4:00 p.m. or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  A sign-up sheet is also located at City Hall.

All items should be available for viewing or supply a photo if it is a large item like a cord of wood or load of gravel.  Items and/or descriptions and bid sheets will be available at the library beginning October 10.  Any questions please call the Library at 295.3939, Valerie Wisner 295.3161, Linda Hanson 295.0567 or Lori Minden 295.0002.
